Self-preservation subtype

The self-preservation subtype is an instinctual one that is focused on basic survival needs. pdx who belong to this category are concerned about money, housing and health, as well as physical safety. They may also be overly concerned about food and comfort. This type of person is also likely to be concerned with the cleanliness and comfort of a room. They are usually the first to spot any issues in a room.

Self-preservation is the primary instinctual drive. When this drive isn't in sync with other instinctual drives it can be interpreted as a threat to security. This can lead to misperceptions about one's personality and a need to seek counseling and therapy. The self-preservation subtype views that a partner is an essential element in maintaining security, which is why they experience anxiety when they fail to find one.

Instinctual types may exhibit different behaviors. Self-preservation can be characterized by aggression, vigilance and protectiveness. These actions are designed to protect self and others. They are correlated with groups' achievements and hierarchies.

Social instinctual people are drawn to the social status and belonging. They are more likely to seek group membership if they have had a positive childhood. They are also more likely than other to be interested in philanthropy. They also are more likely to be annoyed by people who are comfortable talking about food or home decor.

pdb combines the desire to live and the drive for material security. Those with this temperament have an intense desire to protect their family and friends. They are also fierce and decisive, with immense energy and strong appetites. They are unmistakable in their physical presence and are never afraid to assert themselves. They are hardworking and practical, with a keen desire to dominance.

This instinctual form of love blends sexual desire and lust to create a charismatic personality. This combination makes it difficult for an Eight to give up possessions that are material. This is the reason they are prone to political activities. They are less aggressive than the other subtypes but they are equally likely to oppose the leader of the group.

Another instinctual variation of the Type Eight is a self-pre/sexual Eight. They are attracted to "hook" people and tend to be suspicious of others. This tendency makes it difficult to control their impulses and can cause unhealthy relationships. Eights may become jealous, possessive, or addicted to their spouses in these relationships. These behaviors can lead to spousal abuse.

In this instinctual form, a Type Eight is also more sensitive and expressive than an average two. While the eight is still concerned about being loved and is able to express its affection through caring for others, it is seeking love in the same way to an integrated two. This instinctual type has a big heart and desires to show love and do it by expressing love in tangible ways.

Type Five

Type Five is the opposite of Type Four and is deeply emotional. It is able to express its inner emotions through art and to others through ideas. It is also searching for ultimate knowledge of truth, truth, and meaning. This instinctual type is associated with certain subtypes of the Enneagram However, this stacking can also be used separately.

The Type Eight is associated to the Passion of Lust. It is driven by a desire to live the moment to the fullest , and often employs force to meet its Dominant Instinct needs. Self-centered Eights tend to be overly focused on autonomy. This instinctive variant can also feel lonely and angry.

Type Twos project their neediness onto others. In turn, they seek approval and love from others. But, their neediness stops them from developing deep relationships. Despite being a classic provider, they are also highly self-conscious of their image. Contrary to the other subtypes they are less trusting and fearful.

The sexual one's natural instinct is to pursue a beloved or a favorite. They were taught that they were beautiful and desirable in their childhood. Their parents encouraged them to believe that they could attract a partner. They believed that to attract someone, one needed to be physically and sexually active.

The self-pres/social-stacking type is similar in many ways to the self-pres/self-pres subtype. This is due to the requirement to maintain an orderly environment. They are also interested in attracting a mate and are concerned about their sexuality. They may also have conflicting alliances with groups or have an opinion on political or social issues.

Type Six

Each type of the Enneagram has an instinctual variant. Instinctual subtypes are determined by the type's emotional energy, and they explain why people within the same type might be different. Each type is identified by three different instinctual variations. Each subtype differs from the primary type in different ways.

Type Six is marked by the need to reflect on oneself. Those with this instinct are driven by security and seek that in relationships. They seek the security of alliances with people who are similar to them, and they value family and tradition. They can be contradictory however, the subtype brings faith and a strong ability to believe in the universe.

The Intimate Six often conflicts with the Self-preservation Six. They develop feminine and masculine characteristics, and are often susceptible to jealousy. Intimate Sixes may seek sexual partners who are of a different gender. They may also wish to impress their partners by being confident and strong. They might even be interested in beauty.

The Sexual Six is perhaps the most difficult to identify of the Six subtypes, but it is also the most frightening. These people are afraid of being rejected and form many friendships due to their fear of being rejected. While they show love, tenderness and peace, their inner feelings are driven primarily by fear of losing security. The SP Six feels the need to be "good" and also to avoid alienating others.

The Sexual Sixes often act against perceived danger. They can appear rebellious, risk-takers, or troublemakers. They might even display hero-complexes.

Type Seven

The Type Seven instinctual variant is characterised by intense energy and extremes in behaviour and material success. The self-pres instinct of this subtype is the final one which makes them successful, but also reckless and dependent. They need to receive direct feedback and have the chance to express their opinions. They may need to take some time to process the feedback and may need help from others in order to achieve their goals.

The Eight instinctual type is more softer than the self preservation/social subtype. While still showing characteristics of self-preservation, this subtype is focused more on group dynamics. They are charismatic and sociable. They are sometimes misinterpreted as Sevens and sometimes manipulate and con people by using their interpersonal skills.

The Sexual Seven is a strong comedian with a great sense for humor. Their sexuality isn't unusual however they don't really care about having sex. Instead they are more interested in the ideal relationship they imagine with someone. It can be a great way to have fun, but it can also make intimacy feel unsafe for sevens.

The self-pres/sexual subtype shares many traits that are similar to other types, but is a distinct one. pdb seeks to be involved in all things, but may be unhappy when life becomes boring. It is frustrating when other people reject them. This subtype can also be more intense and entertain dark, nihilistic thoughts.

Sevens can easily become too dependent on their romantic partners. They may end up becoming clingy but they don't want to lose their freedom. If they're in a bad relationship, the Sevens tend to be very selfish and their relationships are usually built around their personal needs.
