Minecraft players can change their name in the game soon the developer studio Mojang has announced. The process is scheduled to launch on February 4, and appears to be pretty straightforward; once the name-changing system is in place, players will be able to change their name in the game simply by accessing their account. Any name that isn't currently used by another player will be available. However, players will need to wait for 30 days before they can change it again.
You don't need to be concerned about someone stealing your name. It takes about 37 days for a name that was previously used to become available to someone.
