Burning Bitterroot Balm adalah sebuah balsam yang bersifat menenangkan dan menyembuhkan (untuk luka luar). Sesuai nama ramuannya, inti bahan ramuan ini adalah Bitterroot. Untuk membuat ramuan ini memerlukan waktu 1 jam. Jika ramuan ini dibuat dengan benar, maka ramuan akan berwarna biru.
Bahan:
- 7 akar Bitterroot
- 10 fl. oz. lendir Flobberworm
- 1 fl. oz. minyak Myrrh.
Langkah-langkahnya:
- Pertama, tuang lendir Flobberworm ke dalam kuali, lalu nyalakan apinya dan tunggu selama 10 menit hingga mendidih.
- Masukkan minyak Myrrh ke dalam kuali dan naikkan panas api
- aduk searah jarum jam sampai tercampur semua.
- Kupas lapisan luar akar Bitterroot hingga terlihat inti merahnya lalu masukkan inti tsb ke dalam mortar dan tumbuk.
- Kemudian, masukkan hasil tumbukan akar tadi ke dalam kuali.
- aduk ramuan selama 20 menit secara berkala hingga mendidih.
- Matikan apinya dan biarkan mendingin sebelum memasukkan balsam ke dalam kaleng untuk disimpan
- balsamnya akan teroksidasi dan warnanya menjadi biru pada saat itu telah benar-benar didinginkan.
