I am a huge fan of Microsoft's laptop hardware and have been buying Surface devices for my personal computer for quite a few years. There aren't many companies that produce hardware as stunning as the Redmond tech giant. So I was more content than my fellow tech critics to know that Microsoft did not mess around with the look of the Surface Laptop. Surface Laptop.

Laptop 5, which is available today, Laptop 5 releasing today appears almost exactly like the previous model, Laptop 4. The primary difference is the processor that's on the inside, as well as the options for processors. The last version of the Surface Laptop has offered a selection of Intel and AMD SKUs. Intel provided more power, whereas AMD had more efficiency, which meant that customers could choose the best suited to their needs. This year, however, it's different. The Laptop 5 is Intel-only.

The 13-inch screen is clear and bright enough for indoor use. There was some glare while direct sunlight was shining onto the display's glossy surface, but it was not enough to cause any problems.

Surface Laptop Studio It's an attractive machine. Its familiar Windows logo is featured on its lid. The look is polished. It's incredibly lightweight in weight at 2.86 grams, which, when you hold it, is very similar to the grip of the MacBook Air.

The bezels are huge. Surface Laptop Studio is a minor user experience issue, but I'll admit they're big, like the previous model. It was an obvious way to improve the look in a contemporary manner and improve the laptop's performance compared to its premium counterparts.

There's a green model. The Sage model, limited only to a 13.5-inch size, was introduced this year and is supposed to be green. I was given the sage option to look at, and I will declare that the green label is an overstretch. It appears gray to me. But it's the epistemic humbleness and everything it is.

Finally, Thunderbolt. One of the laptop 4's weak areas was the absence of Thunderbolt in all Intel models. It's finally here. Laptop 5 finally brings that standard to the only USB-C port and the USB-A port, as well as an audio jack on the left. As you can see, Surface Laptop Studio has a limited number of ports. I would like to see more ports, at least an SD slot.

The keyboard is somewhat flat. Surface keys have a distinct snap. One of my favorite aspects of this keyboard is the Surface Book, which is still one of my top keyboards. However, you could sense my fingertips clicking across Laptop 5 on Laptop 5 in a way it's not with Surface Book. Surface Book and I would like more options for travel.

Another thing I noticed concerning the frame is that something is happening with the tiny pads on the deck's bottom. Mainly, they don't have any grip whatsoever. The model I tested was slipping around my desk for hours. This is fine for some. I need to share it in this post as it drove me to the brink of despair. Thank you for listening. Surface Laptop Studio CPU as well as GPU benchmarks. In general, compared to the AMD-powered Surface Laptop 4 I reviewed earlier in the year, this Intel model performs better on single-core tasks and is more efficient on graphics tests but is less effective when it comes to multi-core tasks. Overall it is clear that the Laptop 5 continues to be an excellently built and efficient laptop that, despite being costly, isn't so priced in the market that any significant flaw is a no-go. (Cough, ThinkPads.) It's a decent machine that I love using. It is more than adequate power to be used for everyday use, and those who require more excellent graphic capabilities may choose the heavier Surface Laptop Studio, which comes with discrete GPUs.

However, the battery's performance is lower than the previous AMD models. It's acceptable to sacrifice efficiency to gain power. Surface Laptop Studio is a tradeoff that some consumers are content to make. But it's not something Microsoft required from them. Microsoft could have done it in both directions.

The letter keys measure 0.6 inches x 0.6 inches, with 0.1-inch space between them. Keys are backlit. Fn, along with Caps Lock, has indicator lights.
