The Little Things I Miss
I miss waking up to a text saying good morning and for me to have a great day.

I miss being hit up almost every day to hangout, because no one else actually makes an effort to hang out with me.

I miss the little inside jokes we have; the ones that we’ve had for years but still make us laugh whenever we bring it up.

I miss when we would talk to each other all day every day. No one makes an effort to talk to me.

I miss those hour long phone calls on meaningless conversations, but they weren’t meaningless because it was with you. I worship every moment of them.

I miss those times when we would be laughing together. The fact that we got each other to smile even though our skies were grey, its priceless.

I miss those times I would make you smile. Your smile was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Whenever I made you smile, I felt great about myself, which doesn’t happen often. . except when I’m with you.

I miss those times I was over at your house, no one else home but you and I, just talking about our problems, what we have going on inside our heads, because unlike anyone else, I care. I care about your feelings more than mine.

I miss those times when you would call me out of the blue when you were upset and knew I could make you feel better and happy. It makes me smile every time because you came to me when you could have went to anyone else, and that is the sweetest damn thing.

I miss the times whenever I came over, as soon as I got to your door, those really tight hugs, they made me feel welcome, appreciated, wanted; something I’ve never felt before.

I miss those times we would take a walk and light up. You would ask me if your eyes were red, but they weren’t. You wouldn’t believe me, so I kept trying to convince you, but all I would do is stutter and get lost in the view of the clearest ocean in the world.

I miss the time when I came over and you were reading to me. Your voice was oh so calm. It was relaxed, all the things I was stressed about disappeared.

I miss the times when I was feeling really lonely and alone, and you would call and text me nonstop until I felt better. I felt as if you were right by my side, holding my hand, looking me straight in the eyes and telling me its going to be okay.

I miss the times when I would be out at midnight skating around the neighborhood and park and you would be on the phone keeping me company, catching up with each other, because we haven’t seen each other for a while.

I miss those times when we were close. We are distanced now, I don’t like it at all, and I feel like I am losing myself. They tell you to never rely your happiness on a person, but they obviously don’t know how happy you make me.

The happiest I will ever be is with you.
