Job Description Enlighten is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise working with Big Data solutions, cloud computing, and a solid working understanding of Linux. In the cloud, virtual infrastructure is defined, built, and managed using contemporary tools by someone who is passionate about the idea of infrastructure as code. A fantastic staff works on-site in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. The Most Important Duties
� The ideal applicant is one that believes in investigating alternatives and fast prototyping to test potential solutions or architectures.
� Through the application of cutting edge Big Data/Cloud technology, will greatly contribute to the creation of custom software components and the incorporation of open source code to address complicated time series analysis problems. Create, implement, and maintain the fundamental capabilities and architecture of software from the software prototype to the operational applications.
� Must have a basic understanding of development operations (DevOps), OO programming, relational and time series databases, scripting, and software engineering basics. devops without degree
� Security Clearance - All applicants must be citizens of the United States and possess a current TS level clearance.
� A High School Diploma or its equivalent and nine years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) and a Bachelor's in a related discipline.
� Possess a solid working knowledge of Linux systems, hosts, storage, networks, security, and applications. You should also be proficient with JavaScript, Python, and Shell/Bash scripting.
� Strong communication abilities in both writing and speaking.
� Ability to work everyday on customer site in Fort Belvoir, Virginia Preferred Conditions
� A working knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop and NoSQL databases is required.
� AWS experience is strongly preferred.
� It's a plus if you have prior knowledge of or experience with the Unified Platform (UP) Big Data Platform, which was originally owned by DISA.
� Data transformation/parsing methods using the JSON, XML, and CSV formats
� Utilizing common software development tool suites and understanding AGILE software development processes. (JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc., for examples)
