By delivering independent, impartial, and perceptive risk-based assurance and advising services, the Group Internal Audit (GIA) contributes to the preservation and improvement of World Bank Group procedures. Our PPI team is enthusiastic about developing and implementing GIA operational initiatives that: support technology solutions suitable for high-performing internal audit functions; implement data analytics (e.g., NLP, ML, RPA), and data visualisation at scale; maintain an information technology systems environment in line with WBG standards; investigate cutting-edge technology or continuous process improvements that improve GIA operations; and provide GIA leadership with information technology advice. The following are some of the specific duties for this position: � Improve our continuous auditing application, for example, by distilling large amounts of structured and unstructured data from various sources to deliver the data that GIA's depends on for impactful data sight and foresight - supporting audit engagement data analytics and risk intelligence collection to inform GIA's work programme - with impactful data visualisations that communicate; �
� Collaborate with GIA users and WBG business and technical teams to assess and choose technically sound solutions, take part in the creation of proofs of concept or prototypes, and support user discussions regarding the implementation of technically sound solutions from development through quality assurance and into production. � Auditing experience is not necessary.
� A master's degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, economics, or a closely related field of study with five years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
� Knowledge of cutting-edge data science processes, such as data gathering, exploration, and pipeline management, cleansing and feature engineering, modelling, and conveying results, in addition to experience with database systems and data-warehousing.

� Proven proficiency with algorithms, including data analysis and visualisation tools like Python and Power BI, Azure Cognitive Services, and the Power Automate platform (NLP and ML are essential, with deep learning as a bonus).
� Ability to quickly evaluate, understand, and integrate data or new technology into results that can be put into action and that express concise conclusions and advice.
� A track record of successfully managing numerous projects at once, anticipating and overcoming obstacles, and producing high-caliber work with minimal supervision.
� The ability to present data visualisations that transform complex information into actionable intelligence, as well as fluency in English and outstanding oral and writing communication abilities.
� Retaining a mindset of constant growth, embracing agility, and being adaptable. Self-starter with initiative who is also a team player with the ability to effectively cooperate across organisational boundaries with coworkers in a variety of technical and non-technical jobs.
data scientist salary to have:
� It would be advantageous to have experience with WBG operations and risk management, or with other complex global organisations driven by missions.
� Azure data science, data engineering, or comparable industry-recognized certifications; experience with microservices, DevOps, MLOps, UX, and digital transformation. GIA is open to transferrable abilities from AWS or GCP but is currently focused on Azure.
