Are tap water sources contaminated by glyphosate herbicides? These unsubstantiated rumors are where they come from.
What is ラウンドアップ ? And how does it work?

ラウンドアップ ("ingredient name "glyphosateisopropylamine-salt") is an herbicide widely used in the fields of agriculture and garden throughout the globe, including Japan. Spraying it absorbs from the green parts of the plants, including the leaves and stems. Then, it moves into the roots and eventually kills the entire plant. Since it is an herbicide that is non-selective the plants will all die if the agent is applied to the leaf's surface. Pesticide firms are now selling herbicides that contain glyphosate because the patent for the ingredients is expired. Of of course, all glyphosate herbicides available are dependable products that have been tested by rigorous testing.

Glyphosate's safety is one of its key attributes. It is low in toxicity to animals due to the mechanism of inhibition that blocks enzymes from activating in plants. Additionally the chemical solution has the capacity to absorb into soil, and then become food for microorganisms. The chemical can also be differentiated into water, carbon dioxide and other substances. It is a renowned pesticide that is widely used worldwide, and reduces greenhouse gasses because it permits the cultivation of crops that do not require tillage.

Glyphosate in tap water

Tap water is safe

Is glyphosate mixed with tap water

In April of 2020, Weekly Shincho said, "In Japan, there is no standard value for glyphosate remaining in drinking water. It is the target value." In addition the value is greater than other pesticides, and in other countries, and drinking water that is contaminated with pesticides. I have written an article stating that there was. There are fears that tap water might have the highest levels of Glyphosate. But this is incorrect.

The first thing to note is that glyphosate DOES NOT have a standard or target value. Tap water has not detected glyphosate with a concentration higher than 0.2ppm (1). According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan has not seen any instances of glyphosate being detected in tap water. In reality, there is no risk of being found.

In https://unsplash.com/@glyphosate55loyb109 that is sprayed gets absorbed into the soil in a manner that can be reduced by half in just two days. The same concentration is then transferred to tap water and rivers, and won't be affected by pollution.

Safe tap water in Japan

Tap water from Japan is considered to be safe. Tap ラウンドアップ can be drank as is. There are 51 specific inspecting items that are supplied on the strict quality controls that is required by law. Water can be classified into three categories: acid, neutral and alkaline. Japan has a water quality standard that ensures water from taps is of a neutral pH (5.8 or greater and 8.6 less). If your house's water supply pipes have become corrosion-prone, iron rust could remain possible.

How does tap water get made in the first beginning? Tap water mainly uses surface water, such as dam lakes and river water as raw water. After water has been filtered and precipitated, it's disinfected using chlorine. This tap water is then carried to every household via water pipes.

The story of Japanese pesticide residue standards value

The current standard value of glyphosate residues for wheat in Japan is set at 5 ppm. It was only 5 ppm as of December 2017. There are various opinions on this subject, including "We decreased it to 30ppm 6 times and did not consider health effects."

Tap ラウンドアップ from the tap

The residual value for glyphosate is the exact same value as the one used in international trade.

The truth is that we didn't loosen the standard, rather we changed it to reflect the residual standard value that is the international standard. Japan imports wheat in massive amounts from the United States, Canada and South America. The importer, or the overseas producer, controls the use of the glyphosate to a level of 30ppm. However, Japan's standard value for glyphosate is 5ppm. This means that any import of this substance will be banned. If this occurs, there could be a disruption to the bread wheat supply and Japanese foods could be in danger. The standard value has been revised to meet the standards of international quality. Also, safety is not an issue with the current standards.

Do you require to be able to comprehend glyphosate?

To prevent consumers from being unnecessarily in a state of mind by the emotional discussion regarding pesticide residues to avoid being influenced by emotional discussions, it is crucial that they are able to access the correct knowledge which has been gained through scientific research. It is equally important not to let gossip detract from your healthy eating habits.
