� To support business requirements and logic, the candidate will take part in the design, development, and implementation of Java/J2EE-based programmes.
� For the design, development, and testing of application code, use contemporary software engineering tools like Eclipse, VS Code, and Atlassian Suites.
� Work with an enterprise team to design and test Java/J2EE applications while adhering to life cycle guidelines. It is expected that you would work with and mentor the team's mid-level and younger members.
� Work with cross-functional teams to debug, analyse, study, and solve technological problems.
� Converting monolithic application code into microservices powered by Spring Boot.
� The candidate will help with microservices design, development, and deployment. It is required that you have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines for creating and deploying Spring Boot-based microservices.
� Using the team's current tools, the candidate will be required to understand and follow the continuous integration, automated unit testing, and other AGILE processes established within the team.

� As part of maintenance, the candidate is expected to identify and address problems with current application components.
� As the team migrates to more recent/modern technology stacks, the candidate is expected to learn from, mentor, and develop with the team. Qualifications are necessary.
Ability to get and maintain a DHS public trust; Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering profession; 9+ years of technical experience; Telework with on-site (Kingstowne, VA, and/or Ashburn, VA) visits if a mission requires it
JEE Server expertise (Weblogic, Websphere, JBOSS, etc.), Struts, EJBS, JDBC, JMS, PostgreSQL, Spring, and Spring Boot
� Proven proficiency with relational databases like Oracle or DB2, Java, Java Frameworks (Spring, JMS), and Object-Oriented Design and Development concepts; Java Application Servers like WebLogic or Apache Tomcat; and For this post, you must have good SQL abilities as well as extensive JPA and Hibernate knowledge.
� Demonstrated skill in software engineering processes, such as reading/generating software specs, design patterns, and continuous integration; � Knowledge of design patterns (GoF, J2EE); � Demonstrated ability to implement rigorous Unit testing as part of development operations;
� Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes on the AWS cloud; � Gitlab/JIRA/Jenkins for CI/CD Wanted: � Direct experience managing large project teams (working with the Federal Government a strong plus)
