Minecraft: how to Build A Windmill

Step 1: Find a flat land of suitable size, somewhere surrounded by grass helps the mill appear more realistic after it is completed. Blastermusic.net Although feel free to ignore this step and build your mill in the shape of a volcano.

Step 2: Build 10x10 squares to begin the base of your windmill.

Step 3: Make this first shape 5 blocks high.

Step 4: Cover this section with a roof

Step 5: Decide which side of the box will be facing the front and build an entrance there.

Step 6 Cut the grass in the first section and then replace it with an appropriate floor material. You can choose to use wood or even play around with different colors of wool.

Step 7: Create an incline that breaks out of the ground floor section.

Step 8: Add two additional blocks around your structure.

Step 9 Add the new box shape the existing one that has dimensions of 8x8x5 inches and WxLxH.

Step 10: On top of this create a third box with dimensions of 6x6x5.

Step 11: Finally build a fourth box on top with dimensions of 4x4x5.

Step 12: Carefully cut out the corners of the box shapes that you've made so far.

Step 13: Replace the blocks with a darker material unprocessed wood is ideal. This gives the windmill a nice design and stops it looking like one big bland box.

Step 14: Place some blocks on top of your mill. These are the blades.

Step 15: Create 4 equal blades with symmetrical shapes using colour wool. Make them at least 10 inches long

Step 16 Step 16: Remove the middle portion from your wool blades.

Step 17: Replace these taken parts with the fence post. This gives the blades a more solid feeling and helps make it look more authentic from a distance.

Step 18: Go back inside to build a balcony attached the second box shape we created earlier. Decorate it with things like a picnic table and BBQ.

Step 19: Add a set of ladders that connect to the top end of your mill.

Step 20: You can put torches around your property to keep it safe from night-time zombies.

Step 21: Create an opening from the second box that we built earlier, that opens onto your balcony.

Step 22: If you have not done so already you can add columns to support the balcony. They are not necessary, but they make the mill look more authentic.

Step 23: Head back inside and construct the mechanism for milling wheat. This will require a long shaft running from the top, where the blades are, to the bottom. Then, you'll need to place two flat surfaces on which you can grind the wheat. Unfortunately, Minecraft does not have the capability to create large mechanical devices like this actually work so you'll have to think up to come up with a few ideas here.

Step 24: You may complete the project by establishing an area of garden near your mill. You could also set up an enormous wheat farm next to your mill if you feel the urge.
