The new "Friendly Update" allows Minecraft players playing on Windows 10, iOS, and Android (including the Gear VR Edition) to play together online in the same constant Realms.
This update follows on from the launch last year of cross-platform multiplayer via local networks. The latest update is available today however the Minecraft team also revealed two significant enhancements specific to the mobile-friendly "Pocket Edition." These texture packs are now available and let you alter the look of the game.
