Technoblade: Minecraft YouTuber dies from cancer aged 23

Technoblade is a YouTuber from Minecraft has passed away at the age of 23. His family has posted an emotional farewell video on his behalf.
The video, titled "so long geeks" and posted to his 10 million followers the video showed his father telling him "the most amazing kid anyone could ask for".
The US internet celebrity gained fame via livestreaming and uploading videos of himself playing the video game sandbox.
Technoblade announced to his fans last year that he was diagnosed with cancer.
His father read his farewell message hours before his death. It began with "Hello everyone, Technoblade here." If you're watching this. I am dead."
He then revealed that his real name was Alex. He also recalled the time he tricked viewers into believing his name to be Dave.
"Thank you all for supporting my content over the years," he continued. "If I had another hundred years of life, I think Technoblade would be my top choice again. These were the most memorable years of my life."
The online star, who took home Minecraft tournaments and had a horde of fans chatting about his life in a humorous fashion during the game explained in a fundraising video published in February that he had been through chemotherapy, radiation therapy and a limb-salvage operation after he was diagnosed with a painful tumour in his right arm.
Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer, was the cause of his death.
He disclosed his cancer diagnosis in August 2021, explaining that he initially believed the pain he was feeling was due to an injury to the muscles from repetitive stress caused by playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer when his arm started swelling.
There isn't much information about Technoblade who kept his true identity secret until the very end. However, his online avatar was a picture of a crown pig.
His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio says: "I play too many video games. Although I may not be the greatest, I do have hot elbows.
'Strategizing in heaven'
Fans as well as fellow gamers and YouTubers have paid tribute to him on the internet after learning of his passing.
J Schlatt recalled, "I'll never forget the day I met Technoblade." "I quit my job early to play with him in the Minecraft tournament. I was unable to play... and the dude was able to carry us to win the whole event.
"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll be a legend for the rest of your life.
YouTuber Captain Puffy Captain Puffy, also known as Cara, tweeted: "Rest In Peace Technoblade. He always treated me with the utmost respect. I was never excluded from anything." He couldn't have been more kind!"
She added: "Thank you for everything you've done for this community, it will never be the same without you."
Tommy Innit stated that "Technoblade" is an icon. I cannot even express how grateful I am to have been an integral part of his life as a fan to being one of his closest friends. I know he is working in heaven to defeat God ...".
Ludwig Ahgren added, "I've been watching Technoblade's shows for more than an hour." "He was so clever, so humble even in the toughest of times. He will always be a role model for me."
Quackity also expressed his gratitude on the internet Quackity also expressed his gratitude online, writing: "I had to have the opportunity to express how much admiration I had for Technoblade not just for his immense impact on us all but also for his humour that is amazing, even in the darkest times." I will miss him so much."
Jake Lucky, an eSports player, added "May rest and be at peace."
Technoblade's dad thanked fans in the video of his farewell, noting: "You meant a lot to him."

He explained that a portion of the proceeds from online purchases for the merchandise of his son's passing would now go to charities.
The video concluded with a written statement by his family. It said: "We, Technoblade, wanted to let you know how his love and respect for his colleagues and his fans."
Technoblade was active since the beginning of his career. He was always seeking ways to please and reward his followers. He gave away prizes online, encouraged good sportsmanship, and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughter and entertainment.
"Even after his successes he managed to maintain his good-natured humour, and compete with a charming balance of confidence and self-deprecating wit."
Minecraft lets players create their own virtual world by digging holes and collecting blocks.
Recent updates of the game have been utilized to aid children in exploring and develop their professional skills and expertise and to discover solutions to real world problems such as flooding.
Ted Nevison described Technoblade to be "effortlessly funny" and "endlessly talented". He said, "Gone too quickly."
Bad Boy Halo also paid tribute, adding: "Words can't express how much you'll be missed. The lives you have touched and the impact you had on their lives will be cherished forever.
Slimecicle said Technoblade's "personality and sense of humour are an source of inspiration for me and many others."
"Thank you for everything you've done for the world. If you die too soon. You will always be an icon."
