Using a point of sale system to track your alcohol sales is a smart way to manage your business. By using a POS system, you can also customize your promotions, and apply discounts to your customers.
Special occasion licenses

Whether you are planning a private party or a public event, you need to apply for a Special Occasion Liquor License (SOL). This document enables the host of an event to sell liquor at the event. In addition to the cost of the license, you will also be required to follow the British Columbia liquor laws.

You must purchase the liquor you plan to serve from the BC Liquor Store or from an authorized source. You must also pay the applicable PST for the sale. These prices vary depending on the type of permit. The price for a one day permit is $150. Unless you are a nonprofit organization, you cannot apply for a special occasion permit for more than 30 days in a year.

The liquor served must be in sealed containers. All alcohol at a SEP event must be served by certified servers. If there is gross intoxication of participants, all alcohol sales in the event may be discontinued.

Time restrictions on the sale of alcohol in Estonia

Earlier this year, the Estonian government approved the implementation of a nationwide ban on the sale of alcohol at night. This will apply to alcohol sales in all establishments where alcohol is sold for on-site consumption. In addition, the ban will extend to places where alcohol is sold for consumption outside of the premises, including restaurants, hotels, pubs, and casinos.

The ban will remain in effect until 24 November. The Tallinn city council reached its decision after three years of analysis. It also consulted local entrepreneurs and residents. It was supported by the Old Town residents' association and the Tallinn police.

In addition, Tallinn city council decided to implement a ban on night alcohol sales in September. This is not applicable on nights before 24 June or before 25 February.

The ban will apply to bars, clubs, restaurants, and hotels in Tallinn. Nightclubs will remain closed. Alcohol will not be sold in restaurants from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m., and hotels may not be opened until ten o'clock at night.
