Minecraft's account transfer to Microsoft is underway, and some players aren't entirely satisfied. While Mojang claims that the move will improve security and will lead to more safety features, some players with multiple accounts are reported to be locked out, and the move is mandatory.
The announcement was made last month , and is primarily focused on security. Once you've made the switch, you'll be able to utilize two factor authentication. Some players are upset that you will need to migrate your account to play Minecraft after March 10.
Docm77, a Minecraft content creator, calls the account migration the "biggest error in the history of Minecraft" via Twitter. Reason being "If you have more than one account, you are forced to create a Microsoft account for each". Apparently, this issue then results in having your Microsoft account blocked because of a set of terms-of-service rules. This isn't something that every Minecraft player has to confront, but it can be an issue for creators of content or just those who enjoy playing the game. They might need to create more Microsoft accounts. Looking to social media, there are numerous reports from players who are having issues making the jump.
If you haven't migrated your account but The good news is that it's simple to do. You can learn how to move your account here. It might not seem like a big deal to many gamers due to the popularity of Xbox Game Pass. Many of us already have the app on our PC and all it means for many players is that you'll be able to use it to launch the Minecraft Launcher if you want to.
The migration of accounts comes before the Minecraft The Wild release date scheduled for some time this year. Minecraft servers Go to the link below to learn more about it.
