Minecraft ditches Super Duper graphics plan

Minecraft will continue to keep its block-based look for the foreseeable future as plans to revamp its graphics have been canceled.
Mojang is a Minecraft developer, stated that it had halted development of the Super Duper graphics package for the game.
The pack would have included realistic lighting effects, textures and all-around better graphics.
The program has been deemed "too technically demanding" so it was discarded.
'Disappointing'
At the 2017 E3 games show, the idea to make Minecraft look more authentic was revealed. The ambitious plan was to create an online add-on that completely dispensed with the basic, blocky appearance of the hugely popular game.
Mojang announced in 2017 that it was planning to develop an add-on to Minecraft for Xbox. This will allow the game to run in 4K resolution on the console.
The Super Duper addon was originally planned to launch in the fall of 2017. NO PESOS However the date of release was moved to 2018. It was then cancelled completely in 2019.
The technical requirements of the update have proved to be too much, the update said in a short apology.
It also said: "We realise this is disappointing to some of you. There was a lot of excitement for Super Duper from inside and outside the studio - however, we're not satisfied with the way the pack performed across devices."
Mojang has also said that it is not finished with enhancing the appearance of Minecraft on different gaming devices, and promised to release more information in the near future.
