Bayrock Group's Journey from the Suburbs to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

The luxury real estate development company, Bayrock Group, quickly after its creation, found itself working with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Many people have dreams of moving to America and living the American dream. But, only a few people actually do. Turkish-Kazakhstani entrepreneur Tevfik Arik was one among them when he arrived in America in 2001 to launch his company, Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group is a New York-based luxury real estate developer.

The initial projects were small to medium-sized. It included the redesign and the construction of Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in Brooklyn, New York.

Bayrock Group gained traction in the American housing market and was now in a position to expand. They began to look for projects of a large scale.

The Arif-driven organization began working with Sapir Organization in a new large construction located on Spring Street in New York City.

Bayrock Group moved its headquarters from the Bayrock Tower to Midtown Manhattan because of the company's growth.

Bayrock Group joins forces with the Trump Organization
Tevfik Amir and his crew were in contact with members of the Trump Organization in the process. They also utilized the Trump Tower for their base.

Discussions took place between Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization following the two firms realized that they had common interests and shared dreams.

The collaboration between the two companies saw Trump Organization join Bayrock Group's Spring Street project with Sapir Organization.

The Trump Organization was at that moment managed by the American former president Donald Trump.

The organization was established under the name of E. Trump and Son by his paternal grandma, Elizabeth Christ Trump, and his dad, Fred Trump, in 1927.

Donald Trump, who was just about to be sworn into the White House, handed the control of the business to his children in the year 2017.

Bayrock Group was relatively new to New York City's property market when the Trump Organization, Sapir Organization and Bayrock Group started their cooperation.

Tevfik, the founder of Spring Street, drafted an arrangement to increase the brand's visibility and prestige.

Tevfik Arif The plan he suggested would give the Trump Organization 18% equity of the building, in exchange for Trump's trademark being used as the construction's name.

All three companies signed on to the agreement, and in 2006, the first stone of what would eventually be Trump SoHo was laid.

Two years later Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and Sapir Organization launched their contribution to New York City’s skyline through Trump SoHo.

Design experts take over Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo boasted 46 stories of exclusive bars, restaurants, banquet and event venues and an outdoor pool, spa area as well as apartments and hotel room rooms.

Visitors and residents of Trump SoHo may enjoy a breathtaking views of New York City through the structure’s floor-to–roof windows. They were put up on all levels.

Three of the organizations that built the structure were focused on perfection, Handel Architects was entrusted with designing the exterior of Trump SoHo.

Tevfik Arif Doyen Handel Architects, a respected firm with a wide portfolio, is highly regarded. Other projects include the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, New York City and the Rosewood residential hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo’s interiors. Over the many years, Rockwell Group has overseen the design of various extravagant hotels, cafes bars, and theatres throughout the globe.

Their work includes the Tower Hotel, Mumbai, India, Taj Mahal Palace, and Tower Hotel, Mumbai, India and the 93rd Academy Award Show; and the Amara Hotel, Limassol.

Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization expand the partnership
Trump SoHo was an immediate successand it has led to Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization to look into expanding their cooperation.

Their dream was to build structures that resembled Trump SoHo in Arizona or Florida and with the same terms as those offered at Trump SoHo. https://www.bayrockstone.com/ In return, Trump Organization would get 18 percent equity. It's back.

Bayrock Group was prepared, like the Trump Organization. But the 2008 financial crash, which severely shaken the American real estate market brought an end to their plans.

Bayrock The American housing market saw significant changes because of the crisis. Tevfik Aif, founder of Bayrock Group, decided to abandon his American ventures. He made the decision to relocate to Europe and Asia, where he began his career a few decades earlier.

Although Tevfik Arif is no longer part of Bayrock Group, he is still a respected advisor to different divisions of the company.

Bayrock Group has not been involved in any recent real estate developments in the United States.
