Minecraft Education Edition Setup for MakeCode
These steps will help you set up your account.

Step 1 Buy a Minecraft: Education Edition license
There are two kinds.
Minecraft Education Edition
licenses:
Academic
and
Commercial
. Eligible institutions and their educators can purchase academic licenses. Other organizations can purchase commercial licenses. You can verify your eligibility to determine which option is most suitable to your business.

Step 2: Install Minecraft: Education Edition
After you've purchased and verified that you have an authorization, you are able to download
Minecraft: Education Edition
for your computer (either Windows 10 or macOS). Click on the label that says: "Get it onto ..." with your operating system name. The install will start automatically.

Step 3. Setting Minecraft up for MakeCode
Here's how to connect to MakeCode for the first time.
Setup Minecraft
1. Start
If you are using Minecraft: Education Edition, open Minecraft and log in.
2. Create a new world
Click the Play Button. Push the Create New button in the Worlds dialog. The Create... window will display a selection of default templates that you can choose from , however you can design your own world with the Create New World button.
3. Switch on cheats
You'll be able to see the settings for your new world. Everything will remain as it is with the exception of cheats. You need to turn Cheats Activate to the ON position to enable all coding features for MakeCode.
4. The world begins
Click Create and you'll be playing in your new world.
5. Start in-game coding
Start in-game coding by typing " c". The Code Builder window will appear in the game and provide an option to choose coding programs. Choose Microsoft MakeCode.

The MakeCode home screen will appear in the Code Builder window. To begin with a new project, choose "New Project" from the "My Projects" gallery. You can also choose from the galleries to see a tutorial or other example.
Gameplay with your code
To run your code in Minecraft: Education Edition, go back to the game after you've worked on your code project. Press
Resume Game
. Depending on the intent of your program it could be executed as an e-mail command. It could also start when a condition in the game changes. Check out the tutorials and follow the steps.
