Tubecon is an international community-driven YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and audiences in large-scale public events. The first Tubecon was held in August 2014 in Hartwall Arena, Helsinki with over 5,000 attendees. 1 Tubecon has been held 25 times in four countries (Finland Sweden Spain Switzerland and Switzerland) with over 120,000 people attending all events. Tubecon has seen a dramatic rise in its popularity over time and so has the YouTube and online influencers community. The largest Tubecon events have attracted over 18,000 people and featured more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.
Tubecon event program is built in collaboration with local online influencers and includes multiple program elements such as Meet & Greets, Tubecon Video Awards panels, and concerts. Tubecon 2018 will take place in Finland, Sweden and Germany and letters of intent were signed in Romania, Latvia, and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]
The story of Tubecon began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to create an event in which their viewers and they could get to know each other in a safe and fun way. [4]

2015[edit]
Tubecon 2015 was held at Hartwall Arena, August 2015[5] and attracted more than 10,000 people.
2016[edit]
The Finnish Tubecon took place between 12 and 13 August 2016, with the second day of the event being sold out. The event attracted 18,500 people. [6]
Sweden[edit]
Tubecon in Sweden began on January 6, 2016 in Stockholm with more than 4,500 people attending. They also conducted an autumn tour that began on September 9 in Vasteras, and ended on the 10th of December in Kungsbacka. Around 50 YouTube creators visited 8 cities in total. [7] More than 15,000 people attended Tubecon events in Sweden during 2016.
Germany[edit]
The Tubecon took place in Germany on 20 February 2016 in the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Tickets for VIP and Aftershow tickets were also available.
2017[edit]
Finnish event was organized in Hartwall Arena on 12-13 August with a total of 17,500 people attending. [8]
Spain[edit]
The first-ever Tubecon Spain was held on February 18 at the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event saw more than 200 Spanish creators in attendance. [9]
Switzerland[edit]
Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. About 2,500 people attended the event. [11]
2018[edit]
Finland[edit]
The Finnish Tubecon was held in Messukeskus Helsinki from 17-18 August for the first time. The theme of the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers attended the event. Tubecon hosted creators from around the world including the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Thailand, and Germany in the very first Tubecon World Meet. International creators included Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart aka Paint, Softpomz and MrTrashPack. The event also introduced a brand new TubeCity concept, where different categories like beauty, gaming and fashion and food, were represented by their own blocks in the city-like event space. Tubecon launched Tube Academy, a new educational track that was open to filmmakers and anyone interested in getting more knowledge about the production of videos and the business. [12]
