7 You were running the race nobly. Who has interfered in (hindered and stopped you from) your heeding and following the Truth?

Galatians 5:7-10
The Message
7-10 You were running superbly! Who cut in on you, deflecting you from the true course of obedience? This detour doesn’t come from the One who called you into the race in the first place. And please don’t toss this off as insignificant. It only takes a minute amount of yeast, you know, to permeate an entire loaf of bread. Deep down, the Master has given me confidence that you will not defect. But the one who is upsetting you, whoever he is, will bear the divine judgment.

1. Salt is very important in the scripture

In this kingdom, we have an unbreakable relationship with god

Matthew 5

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Leviticus 2:13

13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.

An agreement between individuals indicating an unbreakable friendship
Salt of the earth means an unbreakable relationship with God


Hinderances to giving/Partnership
1.Satan and demons

2.Pride
Psalm 73:6

6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

3. Getting involved in another war
2 Timothy 4:7
King James Version
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Don't get distracted by something that you were not called to do
Our focus is the lord, don't get distracted

4. Stop living by Faith
We are to abound in faith
2 Corinthians 8:7

7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

5. Lack of willingness to sacrifice

6. Self centeredness
They start to expect more from the church when they should be the one giving into the church
7 Loss of passion for god

1. When there's a message about giving in the house of God
2. When there's a need in the house of god
3. When you're inspired in your heart
4. When your pastor calls for giving/ when there's an instruction to give
