A new update is coming up We've begun receiving weekly snapshots of the past week. However, things aren't as they appear. Although 1.20 is the major update being planned and is a snapshot of the 1.19.3 update, it also contains a number of features that are planned for the minor 1.19.3 update that's coming shortly. The team behind development has stated in a separate post that they plan on releasing minor updates more often while they build the major ones.



We'll cover everything in this snapshot so you can jump in and play around with Minecraft Java Edition.





Experimental features





One of the main features of the new update process is that 1.20 features will be incorporated into the 1.19.3 features. The developers have added a test feature that toggles the menu. Servers This will make it easier. This will let you and the devs turn incomplete features on and off by using the "data pack" menu when creating a new environment, letting users test features that might be incomplete without having to later remove them for official updates.





1.20 Features





Minecraft All major features for update 1.20 were announced at . Hanging signs, chiseled bookshelves , and bamboo wood are just some of the features that were announced. Creative inventory changes





The creative inventory can be a little complicated if you don't possess an in-depth understanding of each item in Minecraft. This update is expected to make things a little more user-friendly. The tabs have been redesigned to keep the same types of blocks together. Instead of listing every type and variety of wood log, and then every type and variety of wood plank, it now list all items that are "oak", then "birch", then the list goes on.



Items that fall under different categories will now be displayed in different tabs instead of being squeezed into one. Of of course, if you don't want to both with any of that, the search bar remains there.





New wood sounds





All the wood types have been made to look nice by making various sounds when they're broken, placed, or dropped on. They've been arranged into three categories: overworld nether, and bamboo. This lets you distinguish different types of wood and adds some variety to your Minecraft world.





Bundles





This feature, originally planned to be included in The Wild Update was finally brought back as an experiment. These simple storage solutions let you to store various items of different kinds in one slot. You can fit up to 64 items inside. While it won't increase your inventory, it won't let you arrange it better or gather items you only have a few of. This feature has been mostly ignored since it was removed. To turn it on in-game, you will need to press the button.
