For iT Administrators - get Minecraft: Education Edition

When you sign-up for the Minecraft: Education Edition trial or purchase a Minecraft: Education Edition subscription, Minecraft: Education Edition will be added to the inventory in your Microsoft Admin Center which is linked to your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant. Only administrators of your company are able to access your Microsoft Admin Center.



If you don't have an Azure AD or Office 365 tenant, you can set up a free Office 365 Education subscription when you request Minecraft: Education Edition. minecraft names For more information, visit Office 365 Education plans and pricing.



Settings for Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5 customers



Schools that have purchased these products have an extra option for making Minecraft: Education Edition available to their students:



- Microsoft 365 A3 and Microsoft 365 A5 – Minecraft Education Edition



Administrators can turn on Minecraft: Education Edition for students who use Microsoft 365 A3 and Microsoft 365 A5 when these products are in your school's tenant. From the left-hand menu in Microsoft Admin Center, select Users. Select the Users list to add or remove Minecraft: Education Edition users. If it isn't assigned, add the A3 or A5 license.



Notification



If you add a faculty licence, the user will be assigned the role of instructor in the application and will be granted higher permissions.



After you have selected the appropriate license for the product Make sure that Minecraft: Education Edition is turned off or on depending on whether you'd like to remove or add Minecraft: Education Edition from the user (it will be on by default).



If you turn off this option after your students have been using Minecraft: Education Edition, they will have up to 30 more days to play Minecraft Education Edition before they are denied access.



How to get Minecraft: Education Edition

If you've been approved and part of the Enrollment for Education Solutions volume license program, you are able to buy a volume license for Minecraft: Education Edition. For more details, visit Minecraft Education Edition Volume license.



Minecraft Education Edition - Direct Purchase



Go to https://education.minecraft.net/ and select How to Buy in the top navigation bar.



Scroll down and select Buy Now under Direct Purchase.



This will direct you to the purchase webpage in the Microsoft Admin center. Log into your administrator account.



If needed, fill in any requested payment or organization information.



Select the number of licenses you would like to purchase, and then click Place Order.



After you've purchased licenses You'll have to assign them to users in the Admin Center.



If you require additional licenses for Minecraft: Education Edition, look up Buy or Remove subscription licenses.



Minecraft: Education Edition - volume licensing



Educational institutions that are qualified can purchase Minecraft: Education Edition licenses through their Microsoft channel partner. Schools must be part of the Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) volume licensing program. To determine which Minecraft: Education Edition licensing offer is most suitable for their institution educational institutions should speak with their channel partner. This is how it works:



Your channel partner will submit and process your order for volume licenses and your licenses will be displayed on the Volume Licensing Service Center, and the licenses will be accessible in your Microsoft Store for Education inventory. Invoices



Invoices are now accepted as a payment method for Minecraft Education Edition. There are a few requirements:



Admins only (not supported by teachers) - $500 minimum invoice for your initial purchase - $15,000 maximum invoice (for all invoices within the company)



To pay using an invoice



During the purchase, click Add a new payment method.



Select the Invoice option, and then provide the information needed to create an invoice. The PO number item allows you to add a tracking number or info that is meaningful to your business.
