These Video Games could Give Fortnite a Challenge

Crucible



Amazon released "Crucible," a free-to play shooter game for PC in May. The game was not well-received on the internet , so the studio decided to pull it back to closed beta. This means only those who downloaded the game will be able to access it.



In "Crucible," you defeat monsters to earn experience points and collaborate with other players to secure objectives. It was released with three game modes, including a battle royale mode.



"It had so much different options and it tried to be everything for all people. And it was also a bit too secure," Cassia Curran, an adviser at Wings Interactive, a fund which invests in various games and other games, told CNN Business.



According to Steam Charts, which pulls data directly from the PC gaming platform, only few dozen players are playing "Crucible" at any given moment. This is a tiny number when compared to the huge number of players in blockbuster films like "Fortnite" or "Valorant".



Valorant



"Valorant," from Riot Games which is the creators of "League of Legends," was released on June 2 and quickly became the sixth highest-grossing PC game in June, as per Nielsen's SuperData, which analyzes the gaming industry. Hyper Scape



Ubisoft's "Hyper Scape" was launched on July 12. Out of all of the games listed on paper, it is the most similar to "Fortnite:" both are free-to-play battle royale games, available on PC and console. That means when it is about winning fans over it faces one of the most difficult battles in convincing gamers that it's not another "Fortnite" copycat.

Unlike most of the other games on this list, Rocket Arena isn't free priced at $29.99 to begin. And it may have been a flop.



Davis, the Kowloon Nights advisor, was quick to inform the public that the game is now for sale, despite the fact that it launched on July 14. Although the price was reduced to $5, the sale seems to be over at the time this article was published.



The game surpassed an record-breaking 1,102 players on Steam which is a PC gaming store. This is a very low number for a title from Electronic Arts, who are famous for their "Star Wars", "Battlefield" and "Star Wars" games. Fall Guys

It's quite remarkable that "Fall Guys", unlike other games, like Amazon's "Crucible" it was released with only one game mode and no other content. Developers told CNN Business that they will bring more content to Fall Guys and improve the speed of the servers.



"When you launch a mass multiplayer game one of the challenges is you just don't know how many players are going to show up. You shouldn't be able to launch a game if don't have at the very least 60 people," stated Jeff Tanton the creative director of Mediatonic Games, which is behind "Fall Guys." "It appears absurd now when you see the numbers we have."
