Thread Warcraft Lore

I have all of the warcraft lore in my head with the diff races and events as well as the various lands. I've spent hours researching on new content added to wowpedia over the years. (Used to be called Wowwiki until the end of the year. R.I.P. Wowwiki).



It's not something I could do all the time. However, I can create links and chain events, and not be confused about facts or the opinions of any char on the subject. It helps that i've read some of the comics and books, borrowed a few and played all the RTS games. Datchley.name Also, I've been active in WoW and completed the world quest twice (pre and post cata) while reading the quests.



Then again iam an info-maniac and suffer from severe information-poisoning. WoW isn't even the only fictional world lore that i keep up with. I should also note that i am not able to keep up with LOTR although i try, but I do know many things that most people aren't aware of. Nothing to be proud of or superior about. I have a natural curiosity about information handling and the sequence of events. This is strange since i hate history (actually I am a huge fan of history, however i despise the way that mainstream institutions go about teaching it, much like how they ruin wonderful "classic" books for students which is addressed by the principles of Self-determination motivational theory (IE situation A: A volunteer is happy with their work and their contributions but when they are employed in full-time and paid for it, they lose motivation to perform the task due to feeling as if they're required to do so now or they wont get paid. It's not what they would like to do, but rather what they must accomplish.



But yes. I like the lore just for its own benefit. Specially the night elf, old god and a few of my favorite chars the lore. I would like to see more draenai discussing the lore of Azeroth but it hasn't been discussed enough often.
