5G Radiation and Skin Cancer
rf protection focuses on the subject of 5G radiation, which is a non-ionizing form of electromagnetic radiation. Because 5G radiation is so small, it does not possess the capability of breaking the bonds between chemical molecules in biological tissue or cause any modifications to cells. It is not known whether 5G radiation can affect the risk of skin cancer, and there is no evidence that has been found to suggest it may cause any other diseases.

Radiation from high-frequency millimeter waves
High-frequency millimeter-wave radiation from mobile devices and wireless networks could cause health effects to humans. There are many ways this radiation could cause harm. In some cases, the radiation can cause damage to a person's DNA. In other instances it could cause damage to other areas of the body, including the brain.

Recent research has shown that 5G technology may result in thermal heating in tissues. This is why the International Council on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) has asked to review the current safety standards for biological and thermal radiation. The current exposure standards are not adequate to protect individuals from extreme heat in the event of exposure to millimeter wave pulses.

Skin cancer risk

There isn't a definitive answer yet to the issue of whether radiation from 5G can cause skin cancer. It is however believed that 5G RF EMFs behave similar to high-LET ionizing radio waves. This means that they may cause high levels of free radicals that can be found in the skin. The FCC has not yet issued any specific guidelines regarding the risks of 5G technology. Consequently, the debate is ongoing.

Although there has been a variety of studies on the effects of radio waves with higher frequencies on the human body but they've remained small in scope. However, there is concern over the effects of millimeter-wavelength exposure on oxidative stress and gene expression. The effects could extend to the skin and various organs, like the brain.

Influence on other illnesses
A new generation of wireless technology, 5G, is rapidly gaining ground however, scientists are concerned about the potential health risks. The technology will significantly increase the amount of electromagnetic radiation found in our environment. This is a concern that has sparked debates in many nations which includes Switzerland. In September 2017 390 scientists and doctors have backed a motion to put the suspension of 5G technology. The motion was not taken seriously by the European Commission, which is responsible for monitoring the use of technology like 5G.

Therefore it is necessary to conduct more research to determine the health impacts of 5G. However research has shown that 5G does not cause the same adverse effects on humans as the old mobile networks. Additionally, it does not transmit a new type of coronavirus. In addition it does not make people more susceptible to infections caused by viruses.

The measurement of exposure
Measurement of exposure to 5G radiation is a crucial aspect of ensuring the safety of 5G networks. There are two ways to measure exposure. Proteck'd involves measuring RF power that is absorbed by human tissues. The other involves measuring the quantity of radiofrequency energy released by an object. Radiofrequency energy (RF) is an energy field that is emitted through radio transmitters.

Within the United States, the FCC has set a limit on the energy density of 5G mobile devices. The tests are able to test the power density of the distance of a few inches, and the FCC does not require measurements of every beam. However, it is possible to determine the energy density for each beam can be determined using computer simulation. The worst case scenario is then selected depending on the configuration of each beam.

The study has its limitations
There's been plenty of discussion about whether 5G radiation will affect the health of humans. The Swiss authorities, for instance has released a report which concludes that 5G technology does not cause adverse health effects in the short term, however, there aren't any studies which have shown long-term effects. However, this report contains several issues that include biased reportage.

The strength and frequency of the radio waves that generate energy depend on the frequency. The energy carried by a millimetre wave will be similar to that of current radio waves, but they are much smaller in size and more suitable for environments with high density as they won't be easily obscured by walls or glass. High-density urban areas would require a large number of tiny, low-power sites and suburban areas will be better served by 5G sites that operate at lower frequency.
