Minecraft convention company is sorry for Peterborough's complaint-hit event

After parents who were furious criticized the convention on social media, organizers of the Minecraft convention stated that they were "truly sorry".
But dozens of people said they spent hours queuing to meet famous players and demanded refunds.
O'Brien Event Management stated that a new system would be developed to reduce queues in the future.
The event, which was not approved by Mojang, Minecraft-developer, offered fans the chance to meet famous YouTubers as well as take photos and play games.
Lisa O'Brien of O'Brien Event Management previously told the BBC that the line was 45 minutes long because of the massive number of people who showed at the event and not buying tickets in advance.
A further statement posted on the company's website read: "We are truly genuinely sorry that our event did not meet a few people's expectations.
"MineVention" is mostly an "meet and meet and greet" event. This means that there will be waiting around. However, it also gives the children the unique opportunity to meet their heroes.
"We have considered all your comments regarding this event into consideration. Going forward we will put into place a new queueing system and will be adding more content."
The company also released a statement from Peterborough Arena, which was responsible for catering, which also blamed the "sheer volume" of people who came through the doors on the day of the event for the long queues.

Both parties stated that they would respond to any parents who contact them with a complaint.
There has been no comment regarding refunds, but some parents have told the BBC they received their refunds on the day they complained to staff.
Online ticketing company YPlan said that it was "actively seeking information about the event partner to understand its position on refunds and will seek compensation for all customers who were unhappy with the event."
