HOW TO IMPROVE ROG LAPTOP'S PERFORMANCE Using THE MUX SWITCH
In a chaotic battle, just a few frames could mean the difference between winning or defeating. Each time we build laptops, we constantly tweak and test prototype machines to optimize the performance of the GPU and CPU, and this year we've added a brand new hardware component that will help boost the performance to the next level. In response to popular customer demand and feedback, we've expanded our 2022 range to include an MX switch.
What exactly is what is a MUX Switch?

The monitor is connected directly to the graphics card if you have a desktop computer with dedicated graphics. When the GPU is finished rendering frames, it will send them directly to your display, where they'll be displayed immediately (provided you're using a GSync or FreeSync capable display). Modern gaming laptops function differently. How to turn on the MUX Switch in the Armoury Crate
This distinct GPU mode was initially available in its own "MUX Switch" setting, but now it's integrated into our existing GPU Power Saving options. Start your Armoury Crate application, make sure that the application is up-to-date, and then look over the System Configuration box in the lower left-hand corner. You'll find the GPU Mode option here, which lets you switch between the four modes accessible to you. You can also go to the Device section, click System, and select the GPU Power Saving tab to view all four modes simultaneously.

The choices include:
Ultimate: This new discrete GPU mode utilizes the MUX Switch to provide you with the highest possible performance and latency in competitive games. Rog Laptop will require more power, and it will not provide the most battery life among the options. Additionally, it would help if you rebooted your computer to allow the new settings to take effect.
Standard (Windows default) In this mode, the MUX Switch switches back to Microsoft's power management standard, also known as MSHybrid. This mode lets Windows determine when the dedicated GPU is activated and disengaged to increase battery life for tasks that require low power and offer greater performance to applications that use dedicated graphics.
Eco Mode: This feature eliminates the dedicated graphics processor to ensure that the battery lasts as long as possible with less heat and sound. Additionally, you'll get the highest performance possible from your CPU when you use this mode since it doesn't need to share power with the GPU, which makes it perfect for non-gaming CPU-intensive tasks such as code compilation.
Optimized (Recommended) Modified by ROG, the mode automatically switches into Eco Mode when the battery is on power and to Standard mode when the device is connected.
