A proper Nintendo Wii gaming PC now is available, and the small stealth model can run Minecraft at 4K resolution. This customized build is able to handle popular games like Fortnite and Rocket League thanks to its AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and a couple of clever console shell modifications.
AlexTriesTech invented the Nintendo Wii gaming computer, called 'WiiC'. It is a device disguised as a low-spec console for families. While the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U powered machine can play Wii games using Dolphin It's also a fully-fledged Windows 11 system that'll run a chunk of your Steam library.
The insides of the WiiC originally belonged to an old Ryzen APU PC, but AlexTriesTech has cut the WiiC's motherboard to help it fit inside the Wii's tinier chassis. To make the build compatible with the Nintendo WiiC, it has eliminated additional components like Gamecube controller ports or its original disc drive. The sale also comes with improvements to airflow, reduce the throttle on CPUs and eventually increase the speed of the game.
The project is the result of months of tinkering and tweaking, but the final product appears to be an entirely functional Nintendo Wii. It even features RGB lighting that resembles the blue glow of the original console's disc slot.

While the Wii stealth rig could seem like an oddity, tests show that it's much more than just a joke. The micro machine is able to crank out more than 100 frames per second in Fornite and can play Rainbow Six: Siege at 1080p 60fps and Shadow of the Tomb Raider can be played on a compact PC. As we mentioned earlier it is capable of running Minecraft at 4K, which means you could pair it with the best gaming monitor and enjoy the iconic block game at a higher resolution.
We had previously decided that the Queen's Golden Wii should become the most powerful gaming machine, but we are now satisfied with AlexTriesTech's invention. From a distance you might think it's the old-fashioned thing you used to play bowling and tennis with your Nan, and that's precisely the reason it's so distinctive.
