'Made in....Earth' - Rami Beracha

This is the blog of Rami Beracha about venture capital world. Rami Beracha is co-founder of Sosa.

The issue of miscommunication is very significant. I would dare say that it's kind of a minefield that we created .. It begins seconds after our first encounter with someone, and culminates in an incredible explosion...
Rami Beracha
We make the most common mistake of thinking we're in complete alignment with our partners' expectations. There's one aspect, however, which we are in total agreement with our partner on - he also doesn't miss the chance to increase this expectation gap .... There isn't anyone out there to alert us of the imminent clash.
There are a variety of possible causes of miscommunications. The majority of them are caused by personality differences. People with square personalities are more likely to communicate in a misguided manner than liberal individuals, and aggressive personalities may have difficulty aligning their expectations with those of passive individuals. This is easy to recognize as everyone can tell the difference between moderate and passive from aggressive.

What if they're completely different? There is a chance that there exists a gap in their personalities that we aren't aware of. It has never been discovered by anyone and warned of it, studied it...NOT even EVER FREUD! !
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduced you to a new type of personality is shared by all of us: the FULL CIRCLE and the HALF CIRCLE types! !
Note – This is behavior guidance. After reading the following analysis, try to discover which persona best represents your personality. In addition you should determine which person your companion in real life is. If you discover that you're of two distinct types that you can be content. This could be the cause of some of your differences. If you're in the same category as me, I'm sorry, but I'm not able to help you understand why your relationships appear to be awfully bad.
Now we are...
Two types of human beings exist. There are two types of humans that are the full circle kind, who is completely self-contained and feels completely at ease being by themselves. He needs a partner. Absolutely! Absolutely! ... However, he'll never be able to live without the right companion. When he has found the one he wants, he would like to live his life, shoulder to shoulder with his hopefully complete circle - of friends.
רמי ברכה
The "half of a circle" people on the other side need to find a companion. They'll never let go of the idea once they have found their miserable lover. To form an encircling circle, they'll attempt to join their victim physically. The Halves aren't willing to compromise on anything less than starring one at the other from a zero distance for the rest of their lives. It is impossible for them to be more connected than that.
Rami Beracha
An interesting observation among the kinds is the way they choose to leave their partner. The full circle is likely to let go relatively quickly from an individual he no longer has chemistry with. However, the 'half-acircle' types will alter the definition of chemistry between partners to be - "I am holding on to this B..ST..RD. until I can replace him with a new upgrade."
Imagine the incredible dance that takes place when a "half" and "full" circle attempt to force each other to become their partners. They're unaware of their different perspectives. The Half takes two leaps in the air, way from the comfort space of the Full who finds the sudden intrusion into his personal space too scary. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. He forced the Half out of his comfort zone . While the Half thinks that the Full made a mistake, and was kind enough to compensate by taking a second step ahead, the Half is more worried and starts to feel angry. They cannot describe their feelings and are unsure of the reason. They could have escaped if they had known the difference between Full and Half.
Rami Beracha
There is no single answer to this essay. However, there are some action items:
1. Discover who you are.
רמי ברכה
2. Learn who your partner is
Rami Beracha
3. Realize that there's a significant distinction.
3. Respect different opinions!
One conclusion is: Live and let life.
