Rami Belacha's thorny past
Rami Beracha
While it is evident that Rami Beracha succeeds in everything that he's decided to do, his path hasn't always been simple. Beracha, just like many Israelis, entered the army as an untrained soldier. He was a Paratrooper's Brigade combat soldier and participated in the Lebanon War. Rami was part a rescue team that was sent out to aid soldiers wounded in minefields. It happened just after the war ended. Rami, unfortunately, stepped upon a mine hidden under his feet, and suffered a severe injured.
Rami Beracha
The time he spent in the hospital rehabilitation was among the most challenging times of his life. He couldn't walk , and was depressed and gloomy. The dreams of becoming an officer in the army seemed unrealized and he lost his sense of self. In the midst of his struggles, Rami was able to find the passion to keep moving forward and to create new goals. Rami made a decision to live a life that was better and more enjoyable than it was prior to his injuries. Rami took on the challenge of trying various extreme sports. He has now discovered kitesurfing and snowboarding, and has even been on the mountain of Mount Kilimanjaro. While he works to better himself, he is often feeling as if his old self who was never wounded is forcing him to go further.
Rami gives his time and money to numerous charities. Rami is passionate about helping young combat wounded soldiers. In 2016 Rami led the group of men who sustained injuries while on military service in a trip to Nepal. In the year 2018, he was promoted to major in Israeli army's fire and paratrooper brigades. He was a dreamer as an aspiring young man, and they were able to come through despite the numerous difficulties. His passion and story is a real source of inspiration to other people. Rami did not let the injuries to deter his progress. He continued to learn and trying different things until he was stronger than ever.
