Rami Beracha discusses his life experiences with students at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. Rami, a young male and a law student, chose to go to law school. He was not sure if that he would like to pursue law, however he pursued his studies and graduated with an advanced degree in New York. After that was completed, he joined an international law firm. But, during his time in the Wall Street law firm, it became apparent that he had a passion for business more than law. He decided to quit his job and moved to France to pursue an MBA.

Shortly after graduating from college in 1996, Beracha began working at Pitango Venture Capital Fund Israel's biggest venture capital fund. Pitango is an investment fund that invests early stage companies, in high-tech core areas. It has over 200 investments and has 85 exits. Rami became managing partner of Pitango in 2000. He was instrumental in negotiating numerous deals that led to successful exits for fortune 500 companies such as Broadcom and Marvel, Cisco, and Apple in the following 18 years.
He didn't stop there. Globes awarded Beracha the award in 2011 as an "Esteemed Partner” award. This recognized him for being an influential investor. Rami launched Sosa in 2014 as a fresh initiative. Sosa's innovation centres are located in New York and Tel Aviv. They help startups that are high-tech through partnerships with global entrepreneurs. Sosa was recently appointed to oversee the development and operation of New York City’s cyber center.

Beracha believes that now is a good moment to invest in the Arab Market, following the recently concluded Abraham Accords with Israel and United Arab Emirates. The wealthy and modern Dubai is a good starting point. The idea behind his newest fund called Ender Ventures, as he will call it, is to bring Israeli ad European Investors to support UAE high-tech businesses in the field of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, robotics, and more. The United Arab Emirates is unique in its approach to business. The tax rates are low and the favorable laws for business are sure to make it a magnet for numerous businesses in the coming years.

Even though it appears that Rami Beracha succeeds in everything that he has chosen to do, his journey wasn't always so easy. Beracha, just like many Israelis joined the army as a young soldier. He was a Paratrooper's Brigade combat soldier and was a participant in the Lebanon War. Rami served as a member of a rescue group which helped wounded soldiers on the minefield. It was the year 1983. Rami, unfortunately, stepped on a mine hidden beneath his feet, and suffered a severe injured.

He was hospitalized for rehabilitation, which was among the most stressful times of his life. He couldn't move , and fell into depression and despair. All his dreams of building his army career seemed lost to him. He was unsure of who he really was. Rami was able to overcome his pain and find the drive to keep living and chase new goals. He made a decision to be better and even stronger than he was before his injuries. Rami was the first to explore different extreme sports. He has now discovered kitesurfing and snowboarding and has completed a hike on Mount Kilimanjaro. He is constantly striving to get better at his sport and feels like his old healthy self is driving him along.

Rami gives donations to and participates in numerous organizations. He is also dedicated to helping young soldiers, just like him, who were injured in combat. Rami was part of a team that suffered injuries when serving in the army on an Nepal trip in the year 2016. In the year 2018, he earned the rank of major in the fire brigades and paratroopers in the Israeli military. He had dreams when he was when he was a teenager and they came to fruition despite all the difficulties. His life and story is a great inspiration to other people, and he never gave up no matter the circumstances. Rami didn’t let his injuries hinder her. He kept trying new things, learning and growing until he was more resilient than before.
