Minecraft 1.18.2 PC Java Edition (MCPE1.18.12 Bedrock Android Edition) is the second part in the Caves and Cliffs update. This update was created to double Minecraft's size. All the new features will be added gradually over the next few years, but players can now download it on Android and PC and begin testing the beta versions.



Originally, some features listed below were meant to appear in Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs. However, because of the pandemic, the authors decided that the update should be split into two parts. World Generation



The updated generation of the world not only includes a new height (320 blocks), but also a new system for generating mountains and caves, which additionally received their own biomes! You can choose from five different biomes for your mountain.



Now, the game will allow players to see real mountains. These are rocky peaks that extend high into and above the sky. These mountains can rise up to 320 blocks high, which is just how beautiful they are.



Changes in the Size of the Game World



- The game surface has increased 128 blocks, or 64 blocks in height,


- The maximum height used to be 256 blocks. It has now increased to 320. Also before that, the lowest block had a parameter of 0 points and now it is -64 points.


- For the first 12 years, the decrease in the depth of game world was negative.


Generation of a new type of ore



- The ore-generation system has been substantially redesigned. It is now more complex and interesting.


- Ores such as coal, emerald, copper do not appear at depths below 0 points (Previously at the bottom of the world).


- The surface of coal is being actively spawned (in the mountains and close by the surface).


- Emeralds only spawn in mountain biomes, and not on the surface of biomes.

New Types of Caves



- Now the player can find much more realistic and larger caves that are most close to the size of those from the real world.


Currently, there is a choice of three types caves. These are water caves with water, cheese caves and spaghetti caves.


- There will be large, spacious and sometimes enormous caves all over the globe. Sometimes they are completely submerged by water.





Karst Caves



A new bios for the underworld. The main purpose is that the player can get dripstone block.



Lush Caves



This is another biome in the underground cave system. It includes caves with different living green plants. There are blocks of moss, small plants, tree roots, azalea bushes, and other random items.


Clay pools can also be found there, which are illuminated by cave roots.





The Rift



- A long and deep rift in the ground. It's thinner and straighter that an ordinary canyon. It can reach up to 90 blocks deep.
