How To Create A Free Server With Aternos - A Tutorial For Minecraft

Step 1: Create an account

You will need an account to create a server. Those are very easy to create: First you must enter on "https://aternos.org/signup/". There you can choose a username (You cannot choose one that is already in use).

Next, you'll need to create a password. Then, you can repeat it. You can also connect to your Google account for the same password.

Step 2: Create the server.

Once we have logged in, it is time to start creating the server. To begin, press the "+ Create Server" button.

Now you can either add a name or description to your server. Or, you can use the default ones. (NOTE - If Java Edition is not enabled, the tutorial won't work!

Step 3: Start configurating your server.

Firstly, configure your server before you can open it. This is a tricky part, so I recommend you read the steps multiple times.

To start go to the left side of the screen, there should be a menu with different sections. Click on "Options".

The first thing we notice is a small menu. This allows us to change everything starting in Step 2. We can also upload an image to our server and purchase a custom-domain. Finally, we can restart all the server files.

Below is a larger menu with the basic settings. These are:

Max Players - This setting changes the maximum number of players allowed to enter the server. - Gamemode: Changes the default gamemode. - Difficulty: Changes the world difficulty.

- Whitelist- Toggle to see the verified players list.
