James Whitfield Thomson is an American writer, a former sales executive and U.S. Navy navigator in Vietnam. He is a member of Andre Dubus' writers' workshop. His first novel, The Ledge, was published in 2010. He lives in Natick, Massachusetts. He has been nominated for several awards and prizes. His first novel, The Ledge, is a literary thriller.
