How To Play Minecraft On LAN [TLauncher]

The game offers the ability to create a local server within your world. All players on your network will be able connect to your server. Although everything is straightforward, there are some limitations. This article will explain them all. Follow the steps to select the configuration type you prefer from the contents.

Server configuration when you are connected to the same Wi Fi network or LAN network as another player

This setting is best if you have multiple computers that are close together and are connected to the same Wi-Fi network or LAN network (connected via cable).

Windows: On the PC where the server is to be started, open the Start menu and enter cmd in the search to open this program:

In the opened window, type ipconfig and press enter. Look for your local IP. This starts with 192.168.*. *, for example, 192.168.1.47. Yours will be the other! Copy it.

MacOS: To find your local IP, open Terminal (you may use the Mac search to find it), type in ifconfig *, and then copy it.

Go to your current world and click the Pause menu. The chat will display a message about the successful opening of the server, as well as the server port, 31790 in the example (you will have another).

Open the version with the Til icon on another PC. (also, the game version must be the same on both PCs). Next, go to Multiplayer and then click Direct connect.

Enter the IP address and port we have earlier, 192.168.1.47.31790 in this example. If everything is fine, the connection will be established. Now you can play on the server together with a friend.

Server Configuration When Playing over the Internet with Another Player Using Hamachi

If you cannot be with another player on the same network physically, because PCs are far from each other, you can create a special network over the Internet using Hamachi.

On both PCs, do the following: Create a Hamachi account and download the program (after clicking on the link, the Download button is in the center).

Install the program and authorize using the created data. Now, go to Hamachi and click on "Create new network". Enter any network name or password. The new network will appear in this window.

Open TLauncher. Select the version that has the TL icon. Now run the game. Login to your TLauncher.org to play the game. If you select the version without TL icon, you will not be able to connect to the server without a Mojang license.

Go to your World and click Open to LAN in the Pause menu. The chat will display a message about the successful opening of the server, as well as the server port, 60000 in the example (you will have another).

Click on another computer and click "Connect to an established network". Enter the network name, password, and create a new connection. If the connection is successful, your friend's PC will be visible in the Hamachi window.

You can also open the TL version on another PC by going to Multiplayer and opening Direct Connect.

Enter the address of Hamachi in the IP field. This is the address of the computer that opened the server. If everything is fine, the connection will be established. You can now play on the server with a friend.

Setting up a Local Minecraft Server with Mods

Once you have set up the server to play on the same WiFi network (LAN) or Hamachi, you can install mods. You can then play with your friends. The instructions are very simple.

Install the exact same mods to all clients. Securecontent.co All should be identical. Make sure the version has the TL icon

Now create and connect to your server according to the above instructions, depending on which network you have. You are now ready to play Minecraft with mods!

Possible Problems and Solutions

- An error message indicating "Invalid Session", or "Check Username" when connecting to the server appears.

Solution: You must run the version with a TL icon. Otherwise, you will need a game licence. If you run exactly this version, make sure the "Account Management", "Use Tancher Skins" checkbox (in launcher) is activated.

- When connecting to the server "Io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection time out: no further information" error appears.

Solution: The game cannot find information about such server. This means that the network configuration is incorrect. Configure the network correctly or disable anti-virus/firewall on your host computer.

- Chunk loading is occurring when you connect to the server. However, the server immediately drops the connection (there is an error).

Solution: The network configuration appears to be correct, but the firewall or antivirus is preventing the connection from working. Configure them correctly or disable them.
