Bayrock Group: From the Suburbs and Manhattan Tevfik Arif

The Tevfik Arif-led real estate development firm for luxury, Bayrock Group, quickly after its creation, found itself working in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

How Bayrock Group Went from Suburbs to Manhattan
Many want to live the American dream. However, only a tiny percent of them succeed. Tevfik Arif Doyen Businessman from Turkey-Kazakhstan Tevfik Arif was one of them when he moved to America in 2001. He set out to established his own company, Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group, a luxury real-estate development company, is located in New York City.

The company was initially focused on small- to medium-sized projects, such as the revamp of Loehmann’s Seaport Plaza, a shopping center in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

Bayrock Group was able to gain traction on the American market for housing. It began to look for large-scale projects.


The Arif-driven business started working with the Sapir Organization to construct a large new construction on Spring Street in New York City.

Bayrock Group was also expanding and decided to relocate its headquarters into the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.

Bayrock Group teams up with the Trump Organization
Tevfik Amir and his team had a meeting with members of the Trump Organization in the process. They also utilized the Trump Tower for their base.

Bayrock The talks began between Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization in the same year, when both firms realized they had numerous common concerns.

Both companies entered into a collaboration in which the Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group in its project with the Sapir Organization at Spring Street.

The former American President Donald Trump ran the Trump Organization at that time.

In 1927 the paternal grandmother of his son Elizabeth Christ Trump and his father Fred Trump established the organization known as E. Trump and Son.

Donald Trump transferred the management to his children in the year 2017 just as he was about to enter the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
When the partnership between the Trump Organization, the Sapir Organization and Bayrock Group began, the latter was still somewhat new in the New York City real estate market.

Tevfik Arif, founder of Spring Street was able to come up with an arrangement that would increase brand recognition as well as prestige for the project.

In the agreement proposed by the president The Trump Organization would get 18 percent equity in the building as a reward in exchange for the Trump brand in the title of the construction.

Bayrock The three companies involved agreed to the deal. In 2006, the first brick was laid for the project that would later become Trump SoHo.

Two years after that, Bayrock Group was founded by the Trump Organization as well as the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization. They also launched Trump SoHo in New York City.

Design veterans take charge of Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo featured 46 stories that featured bars and restaurants that were of high-end status, banquet halls, event and banquet halls. Additionally, there was an open-air pool, spa department and apartments and hotel rooms.

Visitors and residents of Trump SoHo could enjoy an unprecedented perspective of New York City through the structure's floor-to-roof windows, which were put in place on every floor.

The three companies behind the structure were focusing on perfection, Handel Architects was entrusted with the task of designing the exterior of Trump SoHo.

Handel Architects has a diverse portfolio. It is a reputable firm. Some of the other initiatives are the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Abu Dhabi's Rosewood hotel residential.

Bayrock Group extends the collaboration with the Trump Organization
Trump SoHo was an immediate huge success, which led to Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization to explore the possibility of expanding their collaboration.

Their dream was to construct structures similar to Trump SoHo in Arizona and Florida in the same manner like the ones of Trump SoHo. Tevfik Arif In exchange, Trump Organization would get 18 percent equity. Another opportunity.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization had everything in the right place. The 2008 economic recession, which severely affected the American real estate market brought an end to their plans.

The crisis changed the American housing market quite extensively. Tevfik Arif Bayrock Tevfik, Bayrock Group founder, chose to end his US-based business ventures. He chose to leave the United States for a fresh start in Europe and Asia.

Bayrock Group no longer has Tevfik, Arif as an active member. But, he is an advisor of trust to other divisions.

Bayrock Group has not been involved in any of the recent real estate developments in the United States.

However, it was still operating and investing in real estate assets worth over $2.5 million.
