How To Make A Minecraft Server

You will first need two things. You will need a decent Desktop and the Java version Minecraft. Without either of these items, making your own Minecraft server will become a very trying matter to accomplish. Other versions like the pocket edition or Bedrock will not be able to assist you in the creation of a Minecraft server, so make sure you have the proper hardware and software to proceed to the next step. The Java version of Minecraft can be downloaded here.

Download Minecraft

Step 2

Once you are sure that you have all the equipment required, you can enter Minecraft.net to begin your next phase. The Server.Jar file will be downloaded from the site.

Minecraft Server Download

The file is always up-to-date with the latest Minecraft version. Make sure to create a folder for the file before you download it. This will ensure that it doesn't get lost and is always available for you when you need it.

Step 3

You will then take the chance to enter the folder that now holds your program and then run the main system. After you have accepted the agreement, open the eula.txt.file. Next, change the line eula=false into eula=true. Take the opportunity to save the changes before exiting and then run the main jar file to unlock the full documents and txt files that exist within it. Once you see these new documents and files it will mean that you now have your brand spanking new Minecraft server, but your work will not be finished yet.

Step 4

To properly launch your server you will need to create a file. First, reenter your folder. Next, create a new document. Name it something that signals it is a proper launch. Once this is done, you will then want to click on the document and enter the following code below:

Java -Xms1024M -Xm1024 -jar server.jar pause

The server will run faster if you include this coded command in a document.

Also a quick note, all files that you make in this folder, remember to tag on ".bat" at the end of the names for your files.

Test your start_server button and verify that you have followed the correct steps. Your new server will launch if you followed the instructions correctly. If not, check to make sure you have the correct files and documents named.

Step 5

The last step you'll take is the familiar one you use every time you create new worlds in your base Minecraft game. You can modify the world of your Minecraft game by going to your server properties file.

This can involve difficulty, the maximum amount of players, your game mode, and even the name of your world. This is only for the world you want to be in when you create your server. Take some time to think about the kind of environment you'd like to live in.

Step 6

Your server will be your final step. Next, start Minecraft. Top minecraft servers This will allow you to go to the multiplayer tab and access your add-server option. You will need to know your IP address so that other players can access your unique server. After that, you should have no problem connecting to your server and from there you can enjoy the fruits of your labor through your custom server.
