Kasus dimana Voldemort dan Death eaters mengambil alih Kementrian Sihir. Setelah Voldemort bangkit pada tahun 1994, lebih tepatnya pada saat turnamen triwizard berlangsung, death eaters pun ikut bangkit kembali dan menampakkan diri secara terang-terangan. Bahkan akhirnya mereka berhasil menguasai Kementrian Sihir dan mengontrol seluruh isinya. Meskipun Kementrian sihir kembali bisa dikuasai oleh pihak-pihak yg seharusnya, namun ini cukup mencoreng nama Kementrian sihir, menurut saya. Karena bagaimana pun, Kementrian sihir merupakan institusi tertinggi dalam dunia sihir. Pengamanan untuk Kementrian sihir juga seharusnya sangat diperketat agar memperkecil hal-hal yg tidak diinginkan seperti kasus pengambil alihan tersebut.

Black Lake
Black lake (atau bisa juga disebut Great lake) adalah sebuah danau yg terletak di selatan kastil Hogwarts. Dengan luas setengah mil, danau ini menjadi muara dari berbagai saluran air kastil Hogwarts. Danau ini juga dipakai sebagai tempat untuk turnamen triwizard.
Dalam danau hitam, terdapat beberapa makhluk hitam yaitu Merpeople, Grindylows, dan Giant Squid. Ketiga makhluk ini diketahui mengganggu peserta turnamen triwizard saat melakukan tugas untuk mengambil sesuatu yang sangat berharga yaitu orang-orang yg mereka sayangi.
Didalam danau hitam terdapat tumbuhan dan batu karang. Namun temperatur di danau ini sangatlah dingin, jadi sangat tidak dianjurkan untuk menyelam kedalamnya.
