Indikasi:
Untuk mengatasi kasus alergi dimana diperlukan terapi dengan Kortikosteroid.
Kontra-indikasi:
-Herpes Simplek pada mata
-Peptik Ulcer
-Osteoporosis
-Bayi yang baru lahir atau prematur
-Penderita yang sedang dalam pengobatan MAO Inhibitor
Efek Samping:
-Mata kabur pada katarak
-Kencing manis
-Rasa mengantuk
-Reaksi Kardiovaskular, Gastrointestinal, Urtikaria
-Rasa kering pada mulut, hidung, dan kerongkongan, kemerahan pada kulit.
-Penghentian obat yang tiba-tiba dapat menimbulkan Insufisiensi Adrenal akut dengan gejala: Demam, Mialgia, Artalgia dan Malaise.
-Komplikasi yang timbul akibat pengobatan jangka panjang dengan dosis besar, yaitu gangguan cairan dengan elektrolit, Habitus penderita Cusing ( antara lain Muka Rembulan, Buffalo Hump, timbunan lemak Supraklavikular, Abesitas Sentral, Striane, Skimosis Akne dan Hirsutisme).
Dosis:
Dewasa dan anak-anak > 12 tahun : 1 kaplet salut selaput, setiap 4-6 jam sehari sesudah makan dan sebelum tidur.
