This Minecraft Mod Lets You See Infinity

There are Minecraft mods to do whatever you want, from adding in trains to making combat more akin to Elden Ring. Some mods are subtler and more focused on tweaking the player's experience in minor ways. Minecraft Distant Horizons, for example, lets you see forever.



Distant Horizons: A Level of Detail, to give it its full name, is a mod that extends how far you can see. It's simple enough, but the result is you can see much further than you would normally be able. Because of the spectacular view from the top, every hike up a mountainside becomes a much more important event.



This will also make it easier to identify biomes that you might be looking for. It's true that if you can see things further away, then you can find a better vantage point to help you find what you want. Extremecraft Reddit user TheMindIsStrange posted a few images and a video to show how it can affect things.

As you can see, this beautifully demonstrates how much of a difference extra rendering distance can make. They fly over a small portion of the world and it is amazing at the sheer scale. The image also shows how the End appears with this mod enabled.
