My WoW Private Servers Experience - Where Am I Now?

I am Ixtab, a gnome who has been frequenting private servers for about ten years now.



I played in Private Servers with patches from Classic to Legion on: WoWSoc (9 months), Firestorm WoW(2 years), Frostmourne (less than 1 year), Warmane Blackrock PvP (2 years), Azeroth Shard (3 years), Maelstrom WoW (not a lot tbh ), WoW Circle (5 months), Kronos WoW (about 4 months)



I used to "jump", or change between servers. But to be honest, I never had a pleasant experience. This was mainly due to interactions with Community and Staff (bug fixing is secondary).



Now that Chromie craft is my love, I thought my WoW experience (having tried so many expansions) was over. However, I'm glad to report that I've changed my mind.



This server offers a completely different experience. I had to stop for a few months in order to fully play the dungeons, use different talents than maximum level, and compete in pvp in an entirely different way.



But what is ChromieCraft anyway?



It is a Progressive Server (No-Profit) so it included different phase which will be unlocked over time:



We are now at Phase 20-29 (Beta bracket), where you can play from Level 1 to Level 29 in a completely different way. You can take it as Try Harder moments or Chilling moments, due to the PvP bracket list and gearing.



What about the Emulator, though?



Chromiecraft is based on 3.3.5 by Azeroth Core, one of the best Open Source Emulator and the server Chromie is keen to contribute to its improvement

Advantage and Disadvantages of ChromieCraft:



It was created as a Role Play PvE server. However, it seems to be a regular server with active PvP.



It's a Beta Server, so it is possible to find Bug (but tbh only a few at level 29; never on questing).



Currently the population is low, this is due to the niche sector which at first glance can hardly attract people (you have to trust me though and at least try it!)





Of course, advantages are better.

The community is very nice. All About Wow Private Servers They are always active in Discord and in-game.





The staff is amazing! It is amazing to have staff! The donation system is still in existence, but it is limited only to the purchase of beauty products (mounts, companions etc.). Any income is intended to promote the server, and in part, to keep the server online.





PvP is a different experience. I was a high-level player in my past and never felt any competition or love between players.





It's impossible to fall in love with the server atmosphere. To be honest, I have never spent so much time on a server... it's better than taking drugs.
