4.A Batch File to Create a Server

The Minecraft Server.1.11.jar should be located in the Server folder, so do a right-click there. Select New > Text document. Name the new document as "Run". Paste the following text into your Notepad document: Minecraft server.1.11.jar is a jar file that may be run from the command line.

Important

*Change "Minecraft server.1.11.jar" to the name of the version of the server you're using if you're using a different version.

9.Port Forwarding

Next, you will need to modify the router's settings so that others can access your computer through it. This method will vary depending on the type of router you have.

This website, portforward.com, provides basic information about port forwarding. A list of port forwarding guidelines may be found here. The list will allow you to choose the brand and model name of your router and then follow the instructions for configuring it.

Is the Router not included in the Listed?

* You may be able to locate your model's manufacturer. Follow the instructions to find the closest match for your model number. They're often the exact same thing.

* Search online for "port forwarding", and the model number of the router.

* Contact the router's customer service and inquire about port forwarding.

10.Finding Your External IP Address

You will first need to forward your ports in order to determine your external IP address.

Go to google.com, and type your search term. Type "externalIP" into the search box and hit Enter or Return. Google can be used to search for the external IP address.

Any of these examples could serve as an example for your external IP address in Internet Protocol Version 4 or 6.

12.34.456.789 is an example IPv4 Address. Address 2001.0db8 000.0000 0000:0001 would be an example of an IPv6 Address.

To make it easier for other users to connect to the server, remember your external IP address.

11.Connecting to Your Server

Once you've port-forwarded your connection, any other players will now be able to connect directly to your server using your IP address. These are the steps that new players should follow when joining your server.

Open Minecraft's Multiplayer tab. To add a new server, click the Add Server option. Enter the server's name. It's now time to enter the URL.

A port number of 2565 is your external IP Address. The address is shown in the image to the right.

Your IPv6 address should be included in the following [] characters: [2001:0db8:0a0b:12f0:0000:0000:0000:0001]:25565

When you're finished, click the Done button. Minecraft is trying to communicate with the server while you wait. Once you've connected, pick the server & click the Join Server button.

Inviting Players to Join

* Anyone who knows the external IP address may join your Minecraft server. You must have faith in the people who ask to play with your Minecraft server. Only those you know should be invited. Before you invite new members, please check with your parents.

12.Server.properties

Server.properties, located in the Server Folder, is another place you can make modifications to the game.

To modify the attributes of your Minecraft world, you can edit the lines in any text editor.

These attributes are most frequently modified.

To activate creative mode, change gamemode=0 to match gamemode=1. Change the value of maxplayers=20 to raise or reduce the maximum number of players that may simultaneously join your server.

The Minecraft Wiki provides a comprehensive list with all the settings that are possible.

Editing Server Property

To allow your server to function, you don't have to modify this file. You should only make changes to the file if you are confident in what you can do.

You should never build an internet server without getting permission from your parents! To enable people to join your server, you must access the server software via Minecraft and perform port forwarding.

The process of setting up a Minecraft server is admittedly time-consuming and difficult.

Although it can be a challenge, you can still ensure that the steps are completed correctly. If you're willing to put in the effort, however, the reward can be worth it, especially when you and your friends get to perform in your private virtual world.
