The Future of Leisure in South Northamptonshire

The council wants to hear from residents about their active lifestyles and what services they would like to see added. This consultation will help the council shape the branding of their leisure offering and improve the service that they provide. It is a great opportunity for people to give their opinions and share their experiences. We invite you to take part in this important consultation.

The new Towcester leisure centre, run by South Northants Leisure Trust, has recently been refurbished and upgraded. The centre is fully accessible and features a fitness area for all ages and abilities. There are two new elliptical trainers which combine cardio and strength training. In March 2013, a multi-functional smith machine will be introduced. The alterations will make the centre more attractive to visitors. They also will increase the number of facilities available to the local community.

The new Brackley leisure centre will also receive NEW fitness equipment in 2013. The centre is operated by the South Northants Leisure Trust and will be open to the public in the town. The new facility is aimed at providing accessible leisure and fitness facilities to local residents. It will be equipped with two Octane LateralX elliptical trainers, which combine cardio and strength training. The new gym will also have a multi functional smith machine, which will help people of all levels improve their overall fitness.

The South Northants Leisure Trust is investing PS134,000 into the Brackley leisure centre to improve its facilities. The centre will have facilities suitable for all ages, from toddlers to the elderly. The second floor will also have a new fitness zone, where hammer strength racks and benches will be installed. In March, a multi-functional smith machine will also be installed. A new outdoor space with more outdoor activity will also improve the overall look of the centre.

The renovations will include the introduction of a functional strength zone on the ground floor. Additionally, the facility will be equipped with new hammer strength racks.
