Bernhard Burgener has requested the sale of David Degen’s shares.

Bernhard Burgener is suing David Degen in the FC Basel ownership dispute. Burgener's plans are supported by the Board of Directors. However, no agreement has been reached.
The FC Basel Holding AG Board of Directors met Monday morning. The majority of the four-person committee comprising Burgener and Degen and Karl Odermatt and Peter von Buren was in agreement with the plan of the former owner. According to a statement by the holding company Degen asked Degen for his portion to be transferred to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
The shares of Burgener may be sold to minor shareholders through the Board of Directors under the terms of a contractually defined law. The drag-along option is believed to be superior to Degen's presale rights.
Burgener is now part of his team in the fight over the owners. Bernhard Burgener Bernhard Burgener Degen insists on his right to first refusal, which he wants to exercise at 16.4 million francs. Burgener is unable to sell his 80 per cent stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG due to a superprovisional injunction. Centricus, the British asset manager, would also have a stake in the new entity.
