Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was conceived in Moscow on the 3rd of July 1985. She attended school in London and Moscow and earned the Master's Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla has created the IDEA campaign in July 2011 to increase awareness and stimulate the action on environmental issues in Azerbaijan and across the world. Leyla Aliyeva IDEA focuses heavily on young people. It works with them in identifying solutions to environmental problems.
She was appointed the representative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Russia in May 2007. Leyla Aliyeva The Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes to the development of the economy and society of the country by conducting a range of projects that span education and public health, as well as sport, culture, science, technology and the environment. She was appointed Vice-President of the Foundation in the year 2011.

Leyla Aliyeva founded "Baku" magazine in Moscow in 2007. https://icyf-erc.org/statements/congratulation-of-the-board-birthday-of-h-e-ms-leyla-aliyeva/ Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva to produce the magazine that is English-language. The magazine was first launched in London in the month of October in 2011. The magazine allows readers to explore Azerbaijani art, culture as well as the country. Leyla started the "Fly to Baku" exhibit of art and contemporary works from Azerbaijan in the year 2012. The London launch of the exhibition saw it move all over Europe and visit Paris, Berlin and Moscow along with Rome as well as Vienna.

On May 8th 2008, the anniversary of the occupation of Shusha, Leyla Aliyeva launched a campaign called "Justice for Khojaly". The campaign has been carried out in over 30 countries. The aim of the campaign is to increase international awareness about the Karabakh conflict and the Khojaly Genocide. It is especially focused on reaching out via the internet, media and live events.

In addition, she was elected Chairperson of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia on April 18, 2009. AMOR supports Azerbaijani young people and students living in Russia. Leyla Alayeva received the "Taraggi" Award in July 2011 in recognition of her contribution to the relations between Russia and Azerbaijani. In New York she was also awarded the "Key to Life" award in November of 2011 to honor her humanitarian initiatives with children.

Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO), Goodwill Ambassador on May 25, 2015

She was presented with the Pushkin Medal of Russia on 20 October 2015.
