Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born on July 3, 1985, in Moscow. She was educated in London as well as Moscow and gained a Masters Degree at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. In July 2011, Leyla launched the IDEA campaign, which aims to increase public awareness and action on environmental concerns in Azerbaijan and around the world. IDEA focuses on young people and working with them to come up with solutions for the environmental problems that we are facing.
In May 2007 she was elected the representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation of Russia. Leyla Aliyeva Through various projects that span education as well as sports, science and technology the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes significantly to the development of the country's socioeconomics. Leyla Aliyeva launched the magazine 'Baku' in Moscow, in 2007. Conde Nast produced the English-language issue of the magazine, in partnership with Leyla Aliyeva. The magazine was launched in October 2011 in London. It offers the chance to explore Azerbaijani culture and art. Leyla created "Fly to Baku" in 2012 to be an exhibition of Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The London-launched exhibition traveled to the capital cities of Europe: Paris, Berlin Berlin, Moscow Moscow, Rome, Vienna, and Rome.

Leyla Aliyeva started the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" on May 8 the 8th of May, 2008. It is designed to raise the international community's awareness of the Karabakh conflict as well as the Khojaly Genocide in particular reaching across the globe via media, Internet and Live events.
