Leyla Aliyeva Bio

In May 2007, she was named representative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. Through a variety of projects that cover education as well as sports, science and technology, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes significantly to the development of the country's socioeconomics. She was appointed Vice-President of the Foundation in 2011.

In 2007 Leyla Aliyeva founded Baku magazine in Moscow. Leyla Aliyeva With the help of Conde Nast in London, the English-language version of the magazine was released in the month of October. The magazine is a great opportunity to discover more about art, culture and Azerbaijan. Leyla was the author of "Fly to Baku", a showcase of contemporary art of Azerbaijan. This exhibition was launched in London it toured through Europe's capitals, including Paris, Berlin Moscow, Rome, Rome, and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva started an initiative titled "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 in celebration of the eighth anniversary of Shusha’s occupation. Leyla Aliyeva In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009 she was elected Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia - AMOR that supports Azerbaijani students and young people living in the Russian Federation. Leyla Alayeva received the "Taraggi" Award in July 2011 for her contributions to the relations between Russia and Azerbaijani. In New York, the "Key to Life" award was presented to her in November 2011 for her involvement in humanitarian initiatives that included children.

On May 25, 2015, Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

She was presented with the Pushkin Medal by the Russian Federation on the 20th of October 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva was blessed to have twins and a baby.
