Papa Roach was on point when it shook the Coronado Performing Arts Center on the 24th of September in Rockford Illinois. In the opening of their main show, they pumped up the crowd with the energetic "Kill the Noise", and the pulsing new song "Dying for Believe". The Vacaville gang wowed the fans with an encore "Swerve," which featured Fever 333 members Jason Aalon Butler (Fever 333) and Sueco.
Rockford, WTVO- Few bands have more flair in defying genre than Papa Roach. Vocalist Jacoby Shaddix along with guitarist Jerry Horton and bassist Tobin Esperance have spent the last 20 years darting across freeways most musicians wouldn't be brave enough to cross. This has led to one of the music industry's most diverse and fearless discographies.
The four young Californians formed a group of rockers to release their frustration. After playing in clubs around the area, they gained a huge following. Eventually, they began to be asked to play opening shows for Limp Bizkit as well as Eminem and Korn.
Infest was their first album for a major record label. It produced "Last Resort", a hit that has lasted ever since. They had private planes, girls and other things that go with fame.
Even though the group was in a heady whirlwind they still felt like locals. The band continued to work hard and hustle, but never stopped making their music.
It is the drive to be innovative that has carried the band throughout the highs and lows of 20 years in the music industry. Papa Roach are excited to share their career highlights with fans on the Bad Wolves/Asking Alexandria headlining tour this summer. Shaddix says that it's a throwdown.
