Hot Mulligan, a Michigan group that pays homage to the decade of 2010 while taking it serious, is one of the most intriguing bands in the pop-punk trend of today. By combining Hot Mulligan Boxers , bubblegum harmonies and Tades Sanville's unique flannel-tightening sad lad side, they produce an album that is full of genuine angst and pathos. In contrast to their debut album "Pilot" and their follow-up album 'You'll Be Fine', which seemed as if they had merely slapped their influences onto their sleeves and 'You'll Be Fine', this album shows the band solidifying a sound and identity all their unique.
"Betty" is a sweet, rainy-day track that bridges the gap between the band and the audience while "Cock Party 2 (Better Than The First)" attracts attention with its catchy chorus and cowbell. The song "No Shoes in the Coffee Shop is a classic rock tune featuring mini-guitar solos as well as structured arrangements. This album is a progression of the band's greatest work which includes songs that are both homages to the past as well as departures.
