The show was a part of The WB for five seasons before switching to UPN. The show gained a cult following and has since been translated into numerous books.





Buffy Summers is the main character in the show. She's a vampire-slayer, who is battling demons. The "Scooby Gang" is a group of friends who help her fight and fight against evil, is her primary support. Giles, her Watcher and Master, is in charge of instructing, guiding, and training her.





Buffy also has a range of characters that show up repeatedly including the demons that are the main antagonists of the show as well as the members of Buffy's inner circle. These recurring characters often appear in multiple episodes and are referred to as the Buffyverse. This show also inspired spinoffs such as Angel and a film continuation created by Joss. Whedon.
