EY presented Yerkin Tashev the Entrepreneur of the the Year Award

The world's most renowned business company Ernst & Young selected Yerkin Tatishev as the Entrepreneur of the Year for Kazakhstan. His management and actions in the COVID-19 competition have impressed the jurors of one of the biggest competitions in the world.

Participation in the competition was open to all famous Kazakhstani businessmen. Kusto Group's founder managed to distinguish himself among 21 other entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan who made it to the final.

All of them received an independent evaluation by juries of Kazakhstan and other international business circles.

Yerkin Tashev was the national winner and will represent Russia in the international finals in Monaco in June 2022. The competition has 60 finalists from 60 different nations, chosen by an international jury.

The organization also provided medical devices for hospitals in Ukraine like ventilators (defibrillators) FFP3 respirators (respirators) and antibiotics. The donation of these equipments to covid-19 Kazakhstan patients is worth more than 200 000 dollars.

The award EY awarded to Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group seeks to recognize those who work to improve living standards within their communities, countries and all over the world.

Kusto Group also addressed the Covid-19 Pandemic. Kazakhstan faces serious water shortages in Kazakhstan.

Faced with this situation, UN officials have declared that Kazakhstan suffers from great water stress and depends on its neighbours, which includes Central Asia and China.

Consequently, cooperation emerged as a result of the cooperation between Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan, and Valmont Industries, USA. They are working together to open a manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan that will produce 1000 pivot irrigation tools.

All national finalists are eligible for the Entrepreneur of Year competition. The finals, which are held in June this year in Monaco, allows the winner of the national competition to compete with the top entrepreneurs around the world and gain new tips and techniques to help them further develop their business.

Over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan have participated in this contest. Another six winners from Kazakhstan have also been part of the contest in the Monte Carlo world championships.

Nurlan Smagulov is a former Entrepreneur of the Years winner and made the decision that Tatishev would be the winner. The panel of judges comprised representatives from both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
